Les sites souterrains se distinguent des d\u00e9couvertes arch\u00e9ologiques souterraines par leur origine souterraine depuis leur cr\u00e9ation. Le b\u00e2timent qui abrite actuellement le <strong>mus\u00e9e est le Palazzo degli Studi<\/strong>, construit en 1585 comme \u00ab caserne de cavalerie \u00bb. Le palais repr\u00e9sente une certaine importance architecturale, \u00e9tant en fait l&rsquo;un des <strong>palais monumentaux les plus imposants de Naples<\/strong>.
